OUR TEAM


Ladan Korhani

Ladan practices in the areas of family law, and child protection law. She advises on matters involving custody & access, child & spousal support, division of property, and extended Society care.

Ladan obtained her social science degree in political science at the University of Ottawa and pursued an international legal education at the University of Sussex in Brighton England. Ladan was called to the bar at the Law Society of Upper Canada on June 21, 2016. Prior to her call, she articled at a law firm in Toronto where she was exposed to family, immigration and criminal law. She completed her articling program on May 31, 2016 and commenced her legal career at the Law Office of Omarr Syed on July 4, 2016. On January 1, 2020 she opened her own practice. She has appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice Family Court as well as the Superior Court of Justice.

Mackenzie Gilmour

Mackenzie is an Associate Lawyer at Korhani Law Professional Corporation and joined the team following his call to the bar in 2021. Mackenzie practices exclusively in the areas of family law and child protection.

Mackenzie has a passion for access to justice and has dedicated much of his career to advocating for survivors of family violence. Mackenzie completed his articles at Luke’s Place Support and Resource Centre for Women and Children in Oshawa, Ontario, where he participated in their legal advice clinics, led workshops to the public on issues related to family violence, and advocated for legislative change in support of victims of domestic violence. Mackenzie understands the extra care that is needed for these matters.

Mackenzie completed law school at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, where he developed his devotion to promoting access to justice. During his time in Leeds, Mackenzie volunteered for Support Through Court, a charity that assists self-represented litigants navigate through the family and civil court process. Mackenzie’s dedication to the charity was recognized when he was hired to manage the charity’s office in Leeds for his final year of law school. Mackenzie strongly believes that everybody deserves to be heard, and he will work tirelessly to advocate for your interests.

In his spare time, Mackenzie enjoys spending time at his family cottage in Gravenhurst, cheering for the Toronto Maple Leaf’s, and going for walks with his golden retriever Jasper.

Mbaka Wadham

Mbaka is an Associate Lawyer at Korhani Law Professional Corporation. She practices exclusively in the areas of family law and child protection.

Mbaka is passionate about helping clients navigate family law matters. She approaches her work with three things in mind as she works with her clients: compassion, transparency, and accountability.

Mbaka obtained her law degree from the University of Victoria Faculty of Law, with a Co-operative Education designation. One of her Co-op placements was with the Legal Support Team within the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development. After law school, Mbaka articled at a general practice firm in Eastern Ontario, focusing exclusively on family law matters.

Prior to her legal career, Mbaka completed a Master’s in Anthropology and was involved in local and international research on HIV/AIDS and social determinants of health. She worked for a number of years at an AIDS Service Organization, and engaged in extensive community development work including participation on the STOP Violence Against Women Coordinating Committee of Perth County. It was her work looking at the intersection of family violence and HIV/AIDS status which encouraged her to pursue a legal career.

In her spare time, Mbaka can be found getting lost (on purpose) on hiking trails, painting, and learning new languages

Nyasha Size

Nyasha is an Associate Lawyer at Korhani Law Professional Corporation and joined the team following her call to the bar in 2022.

Nyasha is passionate about family law and helping clients navigate their family law needs, especially helping protect the rights of those that need protecting.

Nyasha obtained her Bachelor of Social Science degree in political studies, public policy and administration, and African gender studies, and an honors degree in gender and transformation at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. Nyasha completed law school at Canterbury Christ Church University in England where she was an active member in the mediation, negotiation, and mooting competitions as well as being a law tutor and ambassador. Nyasha then went on to obtain a Masters's degree in Conflict Resolution from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas in the United States of America, during which she received her Mediation and family violence certification and was actively involved in family violence-related conflict resolution and training. Nyasha then received a Masters in Law in Canadian Common law from the Osgoode School of Law at York University in Toronto, Canada. While at Osgoode Nyasha participated in the Pro Bono Students Canada and did her placement at the Winkler Institute for Dispute Resolution. Nyasha articled at a busy Family Law firm in Timmins, Ontario.

In her spare time, Nyasha likes playing tennis, exploring the great outdoors, watching nature documentaries and she is also an avid reader. 


Dillanique Knight

Dillanique is an Associate Lawyer at Korhani Law Professional Corporation and joined the team following her call to the bar in March 2022. She practices exclusively in the area of Family Law and Child Protection.

Dillanique obtained an Honors Degree in Justice Political Philosophy and Law from McMaster University. Having a passion for justice Dillanique obtained her Paralegal license in 2018 as well as her certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution. Dillanique received her law degree at the University of Sussex in Brighton England.

Prior to being called to the bar Dillanique clerked at a family law firm and completed her articles in Timmins, ON where she was exposed to Family, Criminal Law, Indigenous Legal Issues, and Wills and Estates.

Dillanique has a passion for education, and in her spare time she advocates for access to education. While in England she volunteered with various organizations whose mandate focused on social justice and access to post secondary education for minorities. She currently sits on the board of the Nu Omega Zeta Sorority where one of their driving pillars is knowledge.

Outside of work and volunteering Dillanique enjoys crocheting, gaming and spending time with family.



Shannon Williams

Shannon is the firm’s Senior Law Clerk and Office Manager and has been with Korhani Law Professional Corporation since June 2020, Shannon has come to the firm with over seven years of experience working in Family Law. Shannon has always had a desire to help families going through a separation with a goal towards making the process as easy and comfortable as can be. Shannon is dedicated and passionate about the field of family law.

Shannon has four children of her own and two step-children and enjoys spending time with them doing various activities both outdoors and indoors.

Sherry Roth

Sherry’s is a Law Clerk at Korhani Law Professional Corporation, she graduated in 2000, and her experience is in family law. She assists with various aspects of client and file management including client relations, drafting of court materials and agreements.

Sherry’s experience in family law consistently shows through her ability to analyze situations and maintain practical approach to each case. Sherry strives to develop and maintain good relationships with clients and other staff members. She is always ready to help her client’s everyday needs

Sherry is a mother of 2 children and in her spare time, Sherry loves spending time outdoors, with her family. She loves to travel and experience new cultures and hopes to see more of the world in years to come.

Felicia Cariati

Felicia is Korhani Law's Receptionist and has been with the firm since February 2022. 

Felicia has always had a passion for law and that is why she proceeded to go back to school and complete the Paralegal Program with CTS College. Felicia graduated with Honours in 2021 and passed her P1 Licensing exam the same year and is now a licensed paralegal. Felicia is eager to assist clients and to grow and learn within the firm.

In Felicia's downtime, she is a cat mom to three cats and loves reading, painting, gaming, and going to the gym.
